Our Story

The People’s Providore began with a single jar and a single idea, that food is a bridge between people.
I'm Tom, I'm not setting out to build a brand; I'm setting out to preserve moments, and build a business that I can be proud to be putting into the world. The surprising crunch of street-side pickles in Hà Nội, the comforting memories of an old school pickled onion, the warmth of meals shared across the world, across cultures and across time. The spark that comes when flavour, balance and story collide.
As I reached a moment in my life where I knew I needed change, I started experimenting with food, and the kitchen filled with the scents of vinegar, herbs, smoke, fire and something a bit more: purpose. With encouragement and support from my amazing partner Brianna, I realised that each jar could hold not just flavour, but the values I cared about. Community. Fairness. Craft. Sharing.
So I kept going one small batch at a time, shaping a food project rooted in the belief that what we share makes us stronger. What we preserve, we honour. And what we craft with our hands becomes something others can gather around.
Today, every jar carries a little of that journey.
A story told with conviction, with love for humanity, and hope for a fairer future.
